rusty ariens snowblower
Today we did a little work on a rusty 80's Ariens snowblower. It is evident that when the homeowner used it up here in the Northeast near the road to clear the windrow. The snowblower was not washed with water after it was used. There is so much salt on the roads up here in the Northeast that it literally eats steel. The paint is peeling off in 6 inch pieces due to the addition of the liquid calcium that is poured on the roads . Best defense once you use your snowblower is to rinse it with hot water after each use. Believe it or not it will increase the longevity of the machine.
